Edge Look For Second Consecutive Win

Bloomington, IL. – The Bloomington Edge is making final preparations for their second game of the 2018 summer season. The Edge will take on the Mid-American 8 Football League All-Stars this Saturday July 14th at 7pm inside Grossinger Motors Arena. The Edge routed the Rockford Rams in their season opener a week ago by a score of 53-18 and is 1-0 on the young season. Against Rockford, Bloomington superstar wide receiver Marcus Lewis led the offense with touchdowns in the first and second half. The Edge defensive line showed to be a handful for the Rams as David Powell, Tim Short, and Brad Wolfe spent as much time in the Rockford backfield as their own quarterback did. Defensive back Mitch Moore had an interception, and rookie linebacker Mitch Globe from Trinity College in Texas led the team in tackles. This week the Edge has a new challenge in the MA8FL All-Star team. MA8FL is a professional eight man football organization based out of Decatur, IL. The MA8FL is composed of 12 different teams that play 8 games a season. The best players from each of the 12 teams will make up their All-Star roster for this weekend’s game against the Edge. Suites, group events, single game tickets, and season FLEX tickets are available at For more information check out the Bloomington Edge Facebook page or call (484)-840-EDGE.
